Hi. I’m Chad. I’m the new G.I. Joe contributor to this glorious site known as UnderScoopFire. I just want to say how grateful I am to be able to contribute to a site such as this.

I got this assignment and illustrious title due to my undying, almost 30 year love of G.I. Joe: The Real American Hero toy line from 1982 until now.

{Editor’s Note: Chad aced the UnderScoopFire Job Application – hiring him was a no-brainer.}

My love of Joe knows no bounds. I love the animated movie, and proudly boast the fact that I’ve seen it over 100 times since 1987. I once talked a toy dealer down from $100 to $35 for a beat up Terrordrome. I’ve seen every episode of each cartoon from the Sunbow, DIC, and yes…EVEN G.I. Joe Extreme. I even own the Sgt. Savage one-shot cartoon. I’ve travelled from DC to Canada to meet Larry Hama. I’ll even admit to seeing G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra on opening night, and that takes balls made of steel.

So with that brief intro, I’d like to thank the crew at USF allowing me to join on board! I look forward to our new adventures to follow!

Yo Joe!

Chad

You mean that application was real, dude I thought it was a joke LOL.

Total joke. We just keep referring to it as if it was real – basically to make sure the joke is beaten down mercilessly until dead.

We are pumped to have such a creative guy – the first Joe article he pitched was too funny not to jump on – looking fwd to it!

Welcome Chad! Also looking forward to your contributions and expanding my Joe knowledge! I’ll admit to watching GI Joe in the theater with no regrets. Don’t think it was opening weekend, but I enjoyed it more than most. Will be watching Retaliation in theater this summer too!

I hear you. I also saw ROC on opening night. I actually liked it. Was it perfect? No, but I left the theater happy. I look forward to reading your take on GI Joe.

Googs and I also saw ROC on opening weekend (I think the first Sat matinee) – we left the theater happy, knowing it wasn’t perfect but trying not to ask too much of it. I do think Retaliation is going to blow ROC’s doors off.
