I’m on YouTube just about every day and frequently fall victim to the wall of video suggestions in the right column. I can easily spend 30 minutes just clicking from video to video mainly because of the sheer retro awesomeness that usually pops up. Being the ’80s freakazoid that I am, I naturally get tagged with music videos, TV commercials, and cartoon episodes from my favorite decade.

Recently, a Masters of the Universe TV spot flashed in that column so I naturally clicked it. To my surprise it was in German…and it was AWESOME. It sounded like the kids in the ad were ready to invade Poland with a Wind Raider and an Attak Trak. And the announcer…he was the minister of this masterful Eternia propaganda.

If you’re amused as much as I was, check out these other ’80s era toy commercials in their German-ized glory:

M.A.S.K.

Transformers

NES

Atari
