That Time Zartan Dressed Up as Man-At-Arms and Kicked All the Asses

The promoters of RetroCon recently announced that Zack Hoffman would be a special guest at the 2014 version of their event. Hoffman is best known as the iconic voice of Zartan in the Sunbow G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero series, but he also played Man-At-Arms in the 1987 Masters of the Universe Power Tour. (Incidentally, the “Power Tour” is also what I call my 3 thruway rest area stops on our annual drive home from Thanksgiving dinner with my out of town family.)

You’ve likely seen this image (or one like it) before:

For as often as the images of live-action He-Man and She-Ra (where are those figures, Matty Collector?) are circulated, rarely do we see Power Tour Man-At-Arms, played by Zack Hoffman:

We’ll be at RetroCon again next year, but without the constraints of running a booth (all the more time to bug Zartan for podcast drops). Check out Zack Hoffman’s one man show, Tuxedo Man, and visit his website ZackHoffman.com.

The question really is does Duncan dye his eyebrows or his beard? THEN we can talk about the carpet and the drapes.

AND why did his original action figure come sans stache? Did Mattel have a facial hair plastic embargo?
