Podcast Episode #123 – Television’s Alpha Dogs

by Howie Decker @HowardTheDeck on March 14, 2015

in Podcast, Television

Inspired by Grantland’s recent staff survey to determine hip-hop’s current “alpha dog”, Corey and Howie took to the podcast to have a similar discussion of television’s most important performers, past and present.

We start in the mid 70s and power through the pre-modern Henry Winkler and Larry Hagman eras, and then take a closer look as we move through NBC’s halcyon Bill Cosby through Jerry Seinfeld age. We finish with an examination of today’s on-demand era alpha dogs, and some potential “alpha dogs in waiting”.
