10 Television Shows That Would Suck as LEGO Minifigures

in LEGO, Television

The custom LEGO Golden Girls images that made the rounds a while back created quite a buzz amongst those who hold the show and the interlocking brick building system dear.

Fans of The Simpsons had their minifigure dreams come true as blind bags based on the long-running series hit shelves earlier this year. While The Simpsons LEGO sets and minifigs have been a hit with collectors and fans of the show, not all nerd-friendly television shows would translate as well in brick.

Here are 10 television shows that would suck as LEGO sets and minifigures:

The Big Bang Theory

LEGO has already included a techie, a scientist, an astronaut and a blonde actress in their blind bag minifigure series, so as cool as “grown-up LEGO Blossom” would be, there’s no need to convert the highly-rated series to brick format. Plus, if we ever get a Galecki minifig I’d rather it be part of a Christmas Vacation LEGO set.

Duck Dynasty

Duck Dynasty merch has already shown up in some department store toy aisles, which to me makes about as much sense as Chrisley Knows Best action figures lining shelves. A LEGO set would be additional overkill on the over-hyped Dynasty.

Sherlock

Great show, boring LEGO set. Plus, as successful as the 16 figure Simpsons blind bag series has been, there just aren’t enough characters in the Sherlock-verse to support a large minifigure offering.

Little House on the Prairie

LEGO Snoozefest. I’d invest in LEGO Barney Miller before I’d plop down real American dollars for a set this boring.

Lab Rats

If you’re a Disney XD show, you don’t get a LEGO set. Unless you’re Star Wars Rebels. Or Gravity Falls. Although LEGO Lab Rats would give us a Hal Sparks minifigure…

Walker, Texas Ranger

I’m conflicted here. I want a LEGO Chuck Norris minifigure as badly as you do (obvs), but I’d prefer Karate Kommandos LEGO Chuck Norris. So would you.

LEGO iCarly

Nope.

LOST

I’d probably have been sold on this idea 8 years ago, but when I think of LEGO LOST now, I just picture the inevitably disappointing LEGO Smoke Monster:

Murder She Wrote

Because we created this image for an older post, and couldn’t resist the urge to use it again.

Arrow

NOW you’re talking. LEGO Felicity! LEGO Diggle! LEGO Amell’s abs! Sold.

Lego Chuck Norris? YES. Lego Big Bang? No. Lego Barney Miller would be awesome. I want to see a Lego In Living Color.

I hope the answer is yes. There are so many possibilities for those sets.
