RetroCon came and went this past weekend, and with it UnderScoopFire’s first attempt at running a convention booth. It was a success for many reasons, not the least of which was the fact that we got to finally put faces with so many of the Twitter friends we’ve been bonding with over the last 2 years.

There was an impressive amount of cosplayers at the event, as this year the promoters expanded the amount of space and the crowd grew as well. Below are some pictures from the event, and if you are reading this and stopped by our table on Saturday- it was great to meet you!

2/3 of our merch was sold by the time this pic was taken!

TWO apologies: 1.) my camera sucks, and 2.) we didn’t get to record a podcast at the event.

If you haven’t entered our RetroCon giveaway yet, it’s not too late- even if you weren’t at the event- enter here now!

Heads up- when you get to the final picture, make sure you check out the guy behind the Cobra Trooper. In his defense, it was quite a tight-fitting costume!

It was great meeting you guys! Man, I loved that female Cobra trooper. She finally pushed me over 30 Instagram likes! Look at your pic, and notice the look on dude’s face on the left. His ogling is priceless!

Agreed, it was a great time. I had something in the accompanying write up about that guy! Priceless.

That looks like such a fun show. I was following all of the tweets over the weekend and regretting my decision to stay home and take my kids to their soccer games. Next year, they can walk!

That Sharknado costume is brilliant.

I’m pretty sure that the Sharknado costume won the Skelly Award for the best at the con.

it deserved to! I wonder who won the Mr T drawing contest and got that sweet Mr T Transformer?
