All of the current Maxim-related buzz surrounds Alyssa Milano, returning this month after 15 years to grace their cover once again.
While she certainly deserves the attention (and a hearty WWE Universe-style “YOU STILL GOT IT” chant), we thought the other 11 cover models from the first year+ of Maxim should be revisited as well. Would we be shocked to see how much our collective tastes have changed after 15 years, or were Maxim’s first 12 covers adorned by timeless beauties?
Side note: I’d much rather have done a top 10 list of the Stuff magazine back page images (with those hilariously odd plush creations with captions) but site traffic pays the bills.
We’ve ranked the first 12 women to grace the cover of Maxim, in accordance with their level of sustained success and current fame, because: OBSCURE LISTS.
12. Donna D’Errico – Issue #8 May 1998
Donna D’Errico was the Playboy Playmate of the Month in September of 1995. She went on to star in Baywatch from 96 to 98, and then.. Battlebots? I’m sure there was other stuff. She did manage to stay married to Nikki Sixx for 9 years, which is something. She’s now a devout Catholic who climbs mountains and hopes to launch a cooking show.
11. Gena Lee Nolin – Issue #4 November/December 1997
Gena- sorry, GEEENA Lee Nolin (riveting headline) last appeared in country musician Billy Currington‘s music video for “I Got A Feeling”, and on the Comedy Central Roast of her former Baywatch co-star David Hasselhoff.
10. Rebecca Gayheart – Issue #12 October 1998
I know she’s done other stuff, but am I the only one who primarily remembers her as “The Noxema Girl”?
9. Jill Hennessy – Issue #2 Summer 1997
The Canadian beauty has had an interesting career arc, from Law & Order to Robocop 3. Though she appeared in the short-lived HBO series Luck, hers seems to have run out as she was last seen pitching Zaxby’s salads, er, “Zalads” in tv spots.
8. Natasha Henstridge – Issue #7 April 1998
Yet another Canadian, (jeez Maxim, keep your maple leaf in your pants) Natasha Henstridge was last seen on ABC’s Eli Stone and The CW’s The Secret Circle before returning to Canadian television.
7. Carmen Electra – Issue #3 September/October 1997
Carmen Electra is hotter now than she was 15 years ago. The image on the left was taken at a 2013 New Years’ Eve party.
Next page: Which Maxim cover model just played a big budget villain, and who has become a well-traveled sitcom star?
Pages: 1 2
I always felt there was something ugly about Rebecca Gayheart. Especially when she was on Earth2.
She had a polarizing look from what I remember. In my group of friends you either loved her or weren’t into her at all.
I agree with Lamar! I especially hated her as Dylan’s brief wife on 90210. I’m amazed you didn’t mention the thing she has in common with Laura Bush: they both killed someone with a car. No lie!
Also, what happened to Natasha Henstridge? Is an extra large Species creature growing inside her?
that would be the best viral marketing and long range setup to a sequel in movie history
I’d watch a donna d errico cooking show. At least once.
Christa Miller and Christina Applegate too high, Carmen Electra and Jill Hennessy too low.
Id give the official Childhood Crush Champion the top spot

Power Rankings of any kind are always awesome. Are you the one who did Star Wars characters a while back? Guess I could check myself..
