This World Clock from someplace called Poodwaddle.com does just what you’d expect a world clock to do. It features a clock, obviously, and also shows a running ticker of the global population including births (aww!) and deaths (aww.)

It goes a little further though, displaying quite the interesting array of “real time” tickers on its dashboard:

Who counts ‘Bicycles Produced’? Are we in 1950? Oh shit, no we’re not, I just looked an inch above the bike ticker and there it is, in plain print: 2013. Which reminds me: it’s TWOTHOUSANDTHIRTEEN. No one needs an ‘HIV Infections’ ticker. We’d be better served to have a ‘People Killed by Asian Giant Wasps’ ticker, or a ‘Krokodil‘ ticker.

AIDS is barely a thing anymore, thanks to all of the charity work Guy Young’s organization did.

Can’r possibly be a pro-lifer. The abortion ticker is not listed in death detail box 😉
