The sixth episode of season two of Arrow (titled Keep Your Enemies Closer) might have been its best yet, as the conflict took Oliver, Diggle and Felicity (and Isabel) to Russia to infiltrate a gulag.

The weekly Flash foreshadowing continued, with Ollie and Felicity watching a news report regarding the controversial Particle Accelerator. The season’s eighth episode (set to air December 4), is titled The Scientist, and my guess is said scientist will be named Barry Allen, and will hopefully hail from Keystone City.

Besides all the DC Universe building, there was a pretty cool Breaking Bad homage in this episode. Team Queen’s plan to infiltrate the Russian prison involved Diggle getting busted with a planted drug shipment. That shipment:

Predictably, Twitter exploded when the ‘baby blue’ showed up in the DC Universe:

Arrow creator Marc Guggenheim confirmed the Breaking Bad nod:

We also learned that in the DC Universe, Bing is the preferred search engine for boning up on your clandestine enemies. And always assume it’s an acronym.

Rip off!!!

I wouldn’t call it a ripoff, it was an obvious nod, paying homage to a great series.I felt like Guggenheim confirmed that with his tweet.

I understand that but when you think about the massive universe that is DC there’s about a million side easter eggs or nods i can think of. And i can’t really associate the world of arrow to breaking bad even if it’s a nod lol

Lol. I’ve been watching too much Breaking Bad, I began thinking that all meth was blue. That’s why I wasn’t surprised as much when I saw this episode.
