Which Game of Thrones Character Would You Bring Back?

[SPOILERS below, if you aren’t current with Game of Thrones]

HBO’s Game of Thrones has blown our minds once again with its sixth season. Two more seasons and the show will become history, something that passionate fans refuse to think about. The good thing is that after the show ends, they still can hope to read the possibly different string of events in the long-awaited A Winds of Winter book by George RR Martin as well as play the exclusive Game of Thrones slot machine by Microgaming. Even though the retro influence can be seen in their slot games, Microgaming’s team worked hard on the popular reel machine in order to provide a unique and thrilling experience similar to the one we have every time we watch the latest released episode of the show.

Possibly the best known fact about GoT is that characters die. It doesn’t matter if at the particular moment a person is seemingly crucial to the plot or even if they’re the King; when you’re a character in GoT, your life is pretty much worthless. There’ve been so many deaths so far, that sometimes we even forget that a certain person existed (lol that never happens really). However, have you ever wondered, if you had the chance, which one of them would you bring back?

Margaery Tyrell

Oh damn, this is still a fresh wound to all of us, right? All Margaery ever wanted to be a Queen or, more precisely, The Queen. She came close to fulfilling her ambition when her mother in law put the religious fanatic the High Sparrow in charge. In a masterpiece of a season finale Margaery was burned alive alongside her beloved brother Loras and father Mace (and a bunch of other people) and just like that she was forever gone. Margaery was smart, manipulative and yet she wasn’t as evil as she could’ve been. Remember how she and Sansa were BFFs? Her character was always adding spice to the plot, plus it would’ve been really great to find out more about her plan to outsmart the High Sparrow, who btw died as well.

Oberyn Martell

Ah the handsome Prince Oberyn Martell… this guy’s death was probably one of the most disturbing ones. He died fighting against The Mountain trying to avenge the death of his sister and even though at one point he seemed to have control over the situation he first lost his teeth and then his head. In a truly disgusting scene, Oberyn not only lost his life, but also his chance to get revenge. To make the matter worse, creators of the show brought The Mountain back to life after being stabbed with a poisonous spear in the foot by the Prince; this means that bringing The Red Viper back would make it possible for him to finish what he started.

Catelyn Stark

We’re pretty sure that everyone had nightmares for a long time after seeing Season 3, Episode 9. The infamous Red Wedding ended the lives of Robb Stark, his wife and their unborn child, but also the life of his mother Catelyn. Those that have read the books know that Catelyn actually comes back in a creepy zombie version known as Lady Stoneheart to kill the Freys and the Boltons. However, since Roose Bolton was killed by his bastard son Ramsay Bolton, who was later killed by Sansa Stark, and Walder Frey and his sons were taken care of by Arya Stark, we would like to see Catelyn return in a non-zombie version. We miss her strength, her advice and her pretty eyes.

Eddard Ned Stark

Until Ned Stark lost his head (literary), viewers that never read RR Martin’s books had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Seeing people killed at this point isn’t nearly as shocking as the moment when the Lord of Winterfell was executed by Joffrey Baratheon. Even if we put aside his great character, Ned deserves a second chance so he could reveal all those secrets surrounding his sister Lyanna Stark and his (?!) bastard son Jon Snow.

Wun Wun

The last giant Wun Wun was yet another character killed by crazy Ramsay. Maybe he wasn’t such an important part of the plot and he was basically shown only during epic battles, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t miss him. Wun Wun was a great friend and warrior, plus his presence always made the atmosphere a bit more magical than it would’ve been without him. We can’t help, but notice that as soon as he served his purpose (help Jon get into Winterfell), he was just written off and never mentioned again.

So, which character from these would you bring back? Or maybe you have some other people in mind? Honestly, there’s a long list of cool characters that left the show and whose presence could make things more amusing like the fierce Ygritte or even the unpredictable Joffrey. Do you know that many people are even nostalgic that Ramsay won’t be there next session to anger and drive us mad with his wickedness?
