Bill Murray enjoyed box office success in 1984 with the release of Ghostbusters, but another film he starred in at the time never made it to theaters.
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s Nothing Lasts Forever, directed by Saturday Night Live short film director Tom Schiller, featured Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd but was never released, despite an estimated $3 million budget. According to Telegraph UK, the film was intended for a September release to capitalize on the success of Ghostbusters and Gremlins, but MGM postponed it and then canned it altogether.
