If you polled Nerd America and asked what property they’d most like to see rebooted, some people would say Firefly, many could choose The Legend of Zelda, some would even go with The Fall Guy– me? I’d go Silverhawks or the Greatest American Hero.
Love for The Silverhawks is bountiful on this site, if you haven’t noticed click here, here, here, or here.
I believe The Silverhawks is a property prime for a reboot, especially if Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy turns out to be a hit and whets the general public’s appetite for intergalactic police forces (since most of the general public did not see Green Lantern).
If you don’t agree, (or if you’re sensible and do) check out these amazing pieces of Silverhawks art that will have you ready for a reboot:

Maybe a little too “Justin Bieber meets Max Steel” for me, but a nice piece nonetheless.

Guess we both had fan art on the brain today. Posted a bunch of Knight Rider art today.
Hah! Just saw that! Great minds.
Do we all know Silverhawks and Thundercats are in the same universe?
Yup. They’ve never appeared together though.
Tiger Sharks too. Here’s a cameo from the recent reboot of Thundercats.

Yup. I was talkin about it on Twitter earlier with WordBurglar! Wish it didnt get cancelled.
Damn, this awesome artwork made me appreciate Silverhawks a bit more. I never considered Silverhawks a top tier 80s cartoon/toy property but I was always cool with it. The commercials interested me and so did the Buzzsaw toy.
