The Tecmo Super Bowl simulation of tomorrow’s Super Bowl XLIX is here, and the results may surprise you. Or they may not. It depends on how easily you’re surprised.
I’m surprised pretty easily- like that one time I flipped open my vehicle’s tailgate and then as I was pulling something out of the back I ducked because out of the corner of my eye I saw something over my head. It was the tailgate. My wife saw the whole thing, and still makes fun of me for it. I mean I really flinched, like the sky was falling. Anyway, Tecmo Bowl:
If you’re like me, you’ll watch the first 60-90 seconds of this and reflect lovingly on your Tecmo playing days. You’ll marvel at how the creators integrated the current Patriots and Seahawks rosters and color schemes with the original Tecmo Super Bowl gameplay and graphics, and then you’ll skip to the halftime show. Spoiler Alert: it’s just as Mighty Bombjack-y as you’d expect.
Now that I think of it, the result of the game is no surprise- it just makes me want to play Tecmo Super Bowl.
