National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation -The Christmas Song
(Sung to the tune of “My Favorite Things”)
Rednecks in pickups, and carols are sung
“Dad, did you bring a saw?” and Audrey’s frozen tongue.
“Clark, we’re stuck under a truck.”
it’s okay Ellen, just be sure to duck.
Wally World moose mugs full of eggnog,
puking under the table, there’s a big dog.
Cousin Eddie in his dickie
and that uncle Louis sure is picky.
Clark up on rooftop with lights all a tangle
slips on the ice and precariously dangles,
staples his sleeve and wishes he has wings.
These are a few of my favorite things.
Then Clark goes sledding
There’s cat food in Jell-O
“Elaine’s” real mad
Clark learned all he knows about exterior illumination
from his dear old dad.
[second verse]
I can’t unsee cousin Eddie’s wad.
“And why is the carpet all wet Todd?”
Clark’s going to buy a big swimming pool
Boy that Snot can generate some druel!
Aunt Bethany’s cat chews on a wire
the tree goes up in a great ball of fire.
“Jelly of the month” is the gift that keeps on giving
Mr. Shirley is tied up in ribbons.
A rabid squirrel lives in the tree
Do you hear that chee-chee-chee?
“Where’s Eddie? He usually eats these Goddamn things.”
These are a few of my favorite things.
“Tis the season,
to be merry.”
“Well that’s my name.”
The “sh**ter was full” so Eddie empties it out
into the storm drain!
(Play ball!)

This is so great. I can’t wait until the day after Thanksgiving- the earliest acceptable day of the year to watch this movie.
Great work- very creative!
We agree!
