Thanks to the fine folks at Screen Rant, we have some fresh Arrested Development news to chew on for the day. Supposedly the plot has leaked for the upcoming Arrested Development movie. Here is the quote from Screen Rant:
“Ron Howard is making a movie about the Bluths using an A-List cast. But Dr. Tobias plays himself because nobody wants to play him in the movie. The Bluths decide to make their own movie in contention with Ron Howard’s.”
This plot would definitely make for a highly-entertaining movie, as some of AD’s best material during it’s 3 year run were it’s self-referential bits. The fact that they would be making a movie within this movie also likely means we can count on seeing many non-Arrested celebrities appear in the film. Jennifer Aniston has already expressed her interest. Can you picture her portraying Lindsay Bluth Fünke? We can.
