The 100 Sexiest Women on Television | 2015 Edition

The difficulty with ranking the 100 Sexiest Women on Television in 2015 can be categorized into three super-sexy containers named after conspicuously missing actresses: Aubrey Plaza, Olivia Munn and Sophie Turner:

The Aubrey Plaza Container

Aubrey Plaza represents all of television’s sexiest who aren’t currently appearing in a first-run series. With Parks and Recreation airing its finale last month, its considerably sexy female cast had to be omitted from this list. Rashida Jones’ TBS series Angie Tribeca has yet to premiere, and Amy Poehler’s next television project, the Netflix follow-up of Wet Hot American Summer, is set to premiere this summer.

Yvonne Strahovski was conspicuously absent the last time we published this list, as the publication date didn’t align with her appearances in Dexter or during Chuck’s active run. This time, 24 cannot be considered a “currently running” show (but LONG LIVE Jack Bauer), and her ABC series The Astronaut Wives Club has been pushed back to spring 2015. One day, Yvonne, one day.

And dammit Rookie Blue, you couldn’t have eeked out another season so Missy Peregrym could be on this list? No, the Rookie Blue Webisodes don’t count, and yes, they’re a thing. We give you Missy anyway, because DAYUM:

The Olivia Munn Container

Olivia Munn encapsulates a whole combination of limiting circumstances. Here sit all of the sexy television actresses whose only current tv credit is lending voice talent to an animated character, as well as those whose show has just come to an end, AS WELL AS those who are set to appear in shows that have not yet made their television debut.

While Olivia Munn could be called a television veteran (The Newsroom, New Girl, Perfect Couples), none of those can be considered current roles. She now voices Phoebe Callisto in Disney Junior’s Miles from Tomorrowland, but can we really recognize Munn’s sexiness based on an animated Disney character? We all know Olivia Munn is sexy, she doesn’t need to be on this list to remind you.

The Sophie Turner Container

Sophie Turner is best known to American television viewers as Game of Thrones‘ Sansa Stark. Sure, she plays a teenager in the show, but while the Sansa character may be young, Sophie Turner has such a classic and sophisticated look she MUST be one of those “twenty-somethings playing a teenager”, right? Nope, Sophie Turner is 19. Too young for this list, it creeps me out. It was bad enough having Lucy Hale and Jane Levy here last time, when they were in their early twenties. Bridget Mendler at 22 is among this edition’s youngest, and she primarily makes the list as recognition of her transition from Disney Channel star to network sitcom player.
