Village Gate Toy Show December 2012
The semi-annual Village Gate toy & collectible show took place in Rochester, NY this past weekend. It seemed like it drew even more attendees than 2012’s spring show.
There were more vendors than ever, and G.I. Joe was well represented as always. Much more vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles than before (understandably), and TONS of Transformers and Star Wars, but virtually no M.A.S.K. or Silverhawks items. Nothing like the spring show.
Being winter in western New York, I was apparently in an “arctic” shopping mood. Here’s what I came away with:
Is that THREE Snow Jobs- you ask? Why yes, yes it is. I don’t want to talk about it.
As you see, I also bought the G.I. Joe “Find Your Fate” book Operation: Snow Job. The title summed up my experience.
Had the show taken place a day earlier, I could have qualified this as an entry into this week’s “Shelf Expression” League of Extraordinary Bloggers assignment – chronicling everyone’s toy and/or collectible shelves.
