An Ode to Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo (To the Tune of Oh, The Places You’ll Go)

in Movies, The 80s

The following is an Ode to Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo and was composed by Dr. Tank

Miracles!
Get out your cardboard.
Get out your loud boom box!
Sweet moves, you’ll be floored!

You will spin on your head.
You will pop and or locks
You can do the dolphin
in bare feet or in socks.
You’re on your own. And you know there is no feeling.
You gotta impress Lucia while dancing on the ceiling.

You’ll keep the kids off the streets. Look ’em over with care.
About someone will say, “Is that Ice-T over there?”
Electric Boogaloo is the greatest- nothing can compete,
And once you’ve seen this movie you’ll believe in the beat.

My enemy is your enemy
you’ll have to unite
In any case, of course,
we will join in the fight.

Breakin’ 2 the ultimate show
with Kelly, Ozone and Turbo

Chris Tanski lives in Rochester, NY & manages a movie theater. During his free time (when he isn’t hanging with his wife & 2 kids) he wines & dines on pop culture. Being a child of the 80s, nothing gets him going more than a daily dose of movies from his childhood. They are his muse & inspire him to be a better human.

If only they’d put this much effort into saving “The Help Center”…
