NCAA Head Football Coach + Autotune = HILARIOUS (video)

Those of us who went to Coastal Carolina University probably get more enjoyment out of this, based on Coach Bennett’s reputation and local standing. When the speech itself aired, I was amused, but I think it represents what we’ve all come to expect from Coach. THIS, however, was an unexpected and awesome treat. When the cat comes in I can’t stop laughing.

Bless, you coach. Keep the hits coming.

Hysterical video!
Guess CCU was looking for more cats than dawgs afterall.
Best of luck to the first and only coach of CCU football leaving with a 7-4 winning season. Maybe this coach should do a radio show; he’s comical.

btw-
the “replacement” coach is a former CEO of TD Ameritrade who went 3-5 in the UFL for Omaha whose only recent football background was as an intern for Nebraska’s coach Pelini even though he was defensive coordinator at that perenial powerhouse Darmouth over 20 years ago.

This is certainly a good upgrade from coach Bennett’s 7-4 season and 9 years with CCU including 5 players in the NFL and 2 Big South wins- NOT.

This must be about money as new coach Moglia weaselled his way into the near bankrupt UFL which is rumored to have been with a fat contribution and appears to have done the same now at CCU. Otherwise CCU would have gotten a much more experienced and winning coach. Sorry to harsh your mellow but this whole backstory is starting to stink like an open sewer.

S-
I’m curious as to your level of knowledge on such a non-mainstream sports story. I know the details all too well, as I have two degrees from CCU and was enrolled for the majority of Bennett’s run as coach.

I had the chance to play in a golf tourney with Bennett and QB Tyler Thigpen. Both nice guys, down to earth. Bennett certainly deserved better. Thig has promised not to return to or support CCU since they dispatched Bennett. Sad story for a small school that was on the rise.

I just started googling after watching the funny video; guy seemed funny in other videos then very sincere, and I started to like the guy; more googling to see if CCU was trying to up coach status to gear up program figuring they’d go to at least a winning division 1 coach; more googling to find the name CEO Joe Moglia? Didn’t make sense. Yes coaches on all levels are replaced daily and almost always (with this CCU exception) a more skilled coach fits the bill. Here…not so. Unfortunate.
aside: in video from sportscaster on firing; Bennett calls it unexpected, still professes support for CCU, and tells players to focus on studies and finish strong- sounds like a first class coach/leader to me.
