25 Pictures of Heartwarmingly Out of Character Professional Wrestlers

I wish I could have gotten my photo taken with JYD when I was a kid. He looks like such a great guy to be around.

Randy Orton is a world class jerk inside the ring and he’s often said to be one outside of it as well, but it’s obvious that fans have a special place in his heart.

There are millions of little Hulkamaniacs out there and the Hulkster has always had time for them. Much like Cena, Hogan has devoted countless hours to meeting young fans.

No matter what you think of John Cena the performer, you can’t deny that he’s a great guy to the fans. Cena has made tons of Make-A-Wish appearances and clearly enjoys meeting folks.

Here Hillbilly Jim is in a rush to get to the arena. He doesn’t have time to stop for a photo, but he sure looks happy even though he’s running late.

HOOOOOOOOOO! Okay, we don’t have any proof of that. Hacksaw just likes her!

One of wrestling’s fiercest competitors, Bruiser Brody was said to be as much of a madman outside of the ring as he was inside of it. That doesn’t mean he couldn’t enjoy a tender moment with the family.

Everyone who ever met Davey Boy Smith seemed to have enjoyed the moment. Although he had big muscles, they weren’t half as big as his spirit.

It’s rare to see the Deadman crack a smile, but even the Undertaker appreciates the young fans. The Phenom isn’t afraid to help make a fan’s day.

The Beast from the East was about as fierce looking as one could imagine. But inside he had a heart of gold.

Two of the toughest hombres of the old NWA, Harley Race and Blackjack Mulligan were not to be messed with. Yet they still allowed this picture to be taken, deep in the heart of the kayfabe era.

The big Texas roughneck Stan Hansen was a god in Japan. Always known for his physicality, he shows here that he’s not afraid to goof around and show off his good nature.

The Canadian Strongman Dino Bravo does not seem like the kind of guy you would ever expect to be friendly, but he apparently loved wrestling fans. Here he shows his softer side… Just don’t tell Jimmy Hart!

Even the great Bruno Sammartino had time for fans back in the era when that wasn’t the norm. It’s that sort of courtesy that’s made Bruno have an endearing legacy.

If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County, Georgia, you better read the signs and respect the law and order, or you’ll be servin’ hard time… But if you do all that, you might just get your photo taken with the Big Boss Man!

It’s Outlaw Ron Bass pictured with a fan, alongside Harley Race. Excellent topic, I enjoyed the pictures, and by enjoy I mean, well, nevermind…

Indeed it is. I was up late and thought that looked more like Mulligan than Bass. Black Bart would not approve!

The CM Punk/SCSA pic has the makings of WMXXX written all over it…

I will always love that Stone Cold and CM Punk picture. Hillbilly Jim looks like the Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film

Oh my goodness. The Paul Heyman one is a real shocker. Hair and a little less baggage. No surprise he was hanging with the Freddie Blassie, Lou Albano and the Wizard all of them great managers. Guess talent does rub off on to others as Paulie would become one of the greatest managers of all time too.

Yeah that is a really cool pic. I had never seen it before here.
