We’ve reached the Super Sixteen!

The opening round of the UnderScoopFire Tournament of Super Powers has come to a close. Thank you to all who voted, here are some notes from Round 1 and an updated bracket:

The ability to fly proved itself as a formidable #1 seed, trouncing the psionic blast by a score of 93% to 7%.

With all apologies to Mrs. Aquaman, nobody is jealous of Mera’s ability to manipulate H20. Time travel absolutely boat-raced water manipulation 96% t0 4%.

Mind control defeated precognition, proving you’d rather influence peoples’ decisions than know them ahead of time. Solid choice.

Other first round routs include invisibility over gadgets, teleportation over super strength, and force field over concussion beams. Beat it, Batman and Cyclops. (To be fair, we realize “owning gadgets” is not an enhanced ability, but we ran out of powers and wanted to demonstrate just how naked Batman is out there amongst so many super-powered individuals.) FEEL BAD FOR BATMAN.

Voting for Round 2 is open now! Click here or the image below to decide which super powers and abilities will move on to the Invulnerable Eight!

In my opinion, flight is overrated. Just being able to fly, with no other powers, doesn’t do you much good, whether you’re a hero or a villain.

Good point. And landing could be hell if you are not invulnerable/have super strength (especially in the quads and feet)!
