My instinct is to preface an annual list such as this with an emphatic call to arms: “2015 will be THE YEAR OF THE NERD!” or something.

Thing is, with all of the movies, television, toys, games and gadgets in 2014 (and ’13, and ’12, etc.) we kinda own this bitch lately. So, maybe 2015 will be just another year. Either way, there’s a ton of great stuff for nerds like us to look forward to. Depending on your interests, there’s much more than just this list to be excited about. These were just the first 50 things we could rattle off:

1. This 1/15 scale Back to the Future II DeLorean

Lights, sounds and fold down wheels are just the icing on the cake- what makes this thing great: it’s compatible with the 3.75″ Back to the Future ReAction figures.

My favorite part is the hard work and imagination that they put into the official product description:

We have tested several 3 3/4-inch scale action figures with the vehicle and have found that many fit in the driver’s and passenger’s seats with little to no difficulty. Unusually tall figures like Darth Vader and Chewbacca will not fit, but we have had good luck with Shipwreck, Spider-Man, and many others. Depending on your figures, your mileage may vary.

I can’t wait to have Shipwreck almost hook up with his mom.

2. Batman: Arkham Knight

3. Daredevil. Netflix Original Series. April 10.

See you there.

4. Colbert’s Late Show Debut

Late August or early September? Either one is not soon enough. Although Dave will be missed.

5. The Return of The Pat Sajak Show

Just kidding. That’d be dope though.

6. Continued Funko Dominance

Funko made the days leading up to Christmas even more merry this year with the 12 Days of Funko- announcing upcoming figure releases each day leading up to the holiday. The complete list is here, but the highlights include A-Team, E.T. and Munsters 3.75″ ReAction figures, 6″ Rocketeer and Firefly figures, and a whole mess of new Pop! Vinyl figures. Still waiting for those Greatest American Hero and ¡Three Amigos! ReAction figures.

7. That Guardians of the Galaxy Animated Series

8. The Return (and End) of Mad Men

9. Jurassic World

10. Smurf-Sized Transformers

The retro-style packaging alone places these Loyal Subjects Transformers mini figures right up children of the 80s’ collective alley.

11. Game of Thrones Season 5

12. CM Punk Joins The House of Ideas

Not as a character, but as a writer. Punk will be writing a story in Thor Annual #1 and that’s pretty much all we know right now.  Will he make Thor the Best in the World?  Will Thor leave and tell all on Volstagg’s podcast The Art of Heroing?

13. Pitch Perfect 2

From CM Punk to Pitch Perfect 2. What? Shut up.

14. House of Cards Season 3

15. Remastered Versions of the LucasArts classics Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle

16. Tomorrowland

17. This Glorious Ridiculous 1996 piece LEGO Slave I

18. Transformers: Combiner Wars

Because combining 5 robots into one super huge robot has never not been cool.

19. More Flash

Danielle Panabaker Caitlin Snow

20. More Arrow

21. The continued expansion of the DC television universe

Krypton, Teen Titans, Supergirl, and whatever happens with Constantine.

22. Your babies

To those of you having kids in 2015- we’re looking forward to it. Mainly because they’re not ours. I KID!

23. The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl

Only one woman could beat Doctor Doom and Thanos and also babysit for Luke Cage’s child. With the mutant abilities of a squirrel and the feminine ability to put a notch on Wolverine’s bedpost, Squirrel Girl can damn sure do anything she wants to. There’s no telling what she’ll do in her own comic. Defeat Galactus? Don’t count Squirrel Girl out or you’re f*cking nuts.

24. The next NXT special event. And every other NXT show.

25. The Royal Rumble

WWE’s January event has become the pay-per-view we look forward to most each year.
