Hey Super Angry Trash Man – Can We Talk?

Nothing wrong with sprinkling in a little blind rage to get you through a mundane work day. I feel you, trash man.

Hey Mailmen – Can We Talk?

Who knew Julia Roberts’ Lancome ads were more effective than pepper spray or dog whistles? Next time you’re in danger just pull this month’s Vanity Fair out of your satchel and watch those pesky mutts flee in horror!

Hey Groot – Can We Talk?

You’re perfect, don’t ever change. I wish this .gif of you captured about 3 more seconds on the front end, but it’ll have to do for now.

Hey Little Girl Who Must Be Jean Claude Van Damme’s daughter – Can We Talk?

Huh. How about that. You got your daddy’s moves!

Hey Brakes on this Monster Truck – Can We Talk?

Any time now. ANY TIME NOW.

Hey Director of this Show – Can We Talk?

You gotta wait until all stage hands are clear before changing to camera #1! If it wasn’t for Archie’s quick thinking and cat-like reflexes, this could’ve been really embarrassing.

Hey Dog – Can We Talk?

Wanna play some frisbee? All set? Okay.

Hey Roosters – Can We Talk?

Okay, now that it’s just us roosters, I need to talk to you guys about some rooster stuff. This is top secr— HOLY SHIT THAT ONE ROOSTER IS A CAT

Hey Wife – Can We Talk?

I want a Chitauri piñata for my birthday. Better get on it soon, I don’t think Party City carries these.

Hey Dog Vortex – Can We Talk?

One thing I require of my pets is that they resemble a loosely organized weather system when they eat, so you guys are allright by me.

Hey JJ Abrams – Can We Talk?

I have an idea of how to bring Darth Vader back for Episode VII. This could be huge. All yours if you want to run with it.

Hey Shopping Cart in Heavy Traffic Guy – Can We Talk?

Big fan of what you’re doing here, don’t give up. Love the little “weeee!” spin at the end.

Hey Box that PERFECTLY Fits in Another Box – Can We Talk?

God, I could watch you all day.

Hey Real-Life Vitruvius from The LEGO Movie – Can We Talk?

I’m with you man- whenever a bunch of balloons lifts somebody’s baby into the sky I always keep on walkin’ too because NOT. MY. PROBLEMO.

not my problem

Hey Quick Oil Change Places – Can We Talk?

See, this is why I hate when you make me pull my car in myself. I’m not to be trusted! When I order a Double Whopper they don’t let me approach the grill and char-broil my own beef patties! And that’s why I’ve never wrecked my car at a Burger King. Or something.

Matthew thanks a million for the kind words, that means a lot. I truly appreciate the feedback on both! Thanks for listening AND reading! Any requests for podcast topics??

would love to see the Disney afternoon talked about. I haven’t heard much about mask for a bit. why does Hollywood need to revive all the old tv shows as movies would be a great topic. dick the decker is great too. You could talk about wwe vs wwf and how awesome the old stuff is compared to now.

HowardTheDeck August 15, 2014 at 8:26 am

these are all great ideas. Thanks for the Dick Decker feedback, I always worry that people are annoyed by that kind of stuff. We are overdue for another WWF/WWE themed show, and MASK as well. We covered it way back in one of the first eps but it wasnt a proper tribute.

Great Friday post! I hate pulling my car into a car wash, never mind for an oil change.

HowardTheDeck August 9, 2014 at 9:57 am

I’ve been to many Monster Truck shows…save your money (and your life) and go to the big arenas.

Another tip…learn how to change your own oil. Not only is it cheaper, but you won’t have worry about manmade sinkholes.

HowardTheDeck August 15, 2014 at 8:24 am

I will take your tip on the monster truck shows (not that there was much danger that we’d go to a small potatoes one. The oil change thing interests me. Do you change your own?

Jason G August 15, 2014 at 9:34 am

I do. Have heard too many horror stories about those oil change places including them forgetting to put in the new oil and ruining engines (happen to my dad.)

I’m lucky cause both of my vehicles are relatively easy to get to the oil drain and filter. My truck sits high enough that I don’t even have to put it up on ramps. Usually spend about $20 for the oil and filter at Walmart. About double that nowadays at the changing places, right? Sometimes it’s worth the extra if you don’t have the time and know/trust someone to change it.
